Lakshya is a story of a Delhi boy Karan who have no future goals in his life. His father was a big businessman & his brother was also a successful entrepreneur in U.K. His girlfriend Romi also have a clear goal in his life, She tells him he needs to find a goal in life. When a friend announces he is going to join the Indian Army, Karan applies to the Indian Military Academy (IMA) as well, despite dissent from his parents. Karan gets selected into the IMA, although his friend backs out. However, he is undisciplined and unused to life there. He keeps receiving punishments from the training team. Upset, he runs away from the academy, which causes Romi to break up with him. Karan finally comes to terms with his situation and makes his decision. He returns to the IMA, takes his punishment, becomes a focused, disciplined officer cadet and eventually commissions into the Indian Army. This movie shows us if you have a goal in your life then only you are alive.

The story is based on the life of Milkha Singh, an Indian athlete who was a national champion runner and an Olympian. His parents killed during Partition of India in 1947. Later he reaches Delhi and later meets his sister there. They lived in refugee camps. Milkha wants to do something for her sister so he joined Indian army. During training, all the soldiers need to complete running session for 1 glass of milk & Milkha love to drink milk. So he starts running fast so that he can get milk as early as possible. Later the running becomes his passion and at Olympics, he breaks the world record of 400m race with a time of 45.80seconds. This movie shows you that hard work always pay off.
